A LARGE UFO SITTING UP ABOVE MY TREE IN MY YARD
My sighting occurred in the fall of 1968. I was 11 yrs old and I have realized through the years what a gift I was given. It was on a Saturday night and I was home with my 2 brothers and my sister. Our parents had gone out that night. We were all in the living room watching television. For some unknown reason I got up went to the kitchen opened the door that was on the side of the house that open to the side of the yard and stuck my head out. We had a tree that was a little to the left of the front porch. Up above the tree was a huge UFO sitting making no noise and lights were changing colors as they circled around. It was round like a hat with a band. The band was where the lights were circling around and I could make out what I would call round windows. The tree looked so small under it and the branches did not move. There were no leaves on the tree. As I stood there looking up I thought to myself you are too big to land here. My house had a s! treet in front of it and there was a river that ran parallel with the street. On the other side of the river was a highway and it was traveled heavily. I could see cars going up and down that highway and was so surprised that cars were not stopping. This thing was very bright and very large and there were bright lights circling around and it was very dark outside. The lights would change from red, white, and blue, green. I stood there soaking all this in for about 2 or 3 minutes.
I then shut the door yelling as I ran to the doorway of the living room. I was yelling I saw a UFO. So everyone runs to the door and opens it and it wasn’t there. My brothers said it was probably an airplane. So I opened the door again sticking my head out again and kept saying aloud several times I saw you I know I saw you where did you go? All of a sudden miles ahead in the sky the object shot across did a little zip and a tip to one side and was gone. It made me laugh because I knew it could hear me and did respond.
Now I know it’s been many years since that event and I do play this through my head trying to reason why I saw it and why the people on the other side of the river were not reacting to this. I now know that when aircraft are searching for people and they spot them they tip the wing. I feel my experience was very special. Not sure what it was about but I am always looking up at the sky searching.
