I was a teenager, 15 or 16 years old, at the time of the sighting. I was standing at a bus stop, in the late afternoon. I don't recall the month or date exactly, but it had to have been either 1959 0r 1960. The incident occurred when I was standing at a bus stop. I happened to glance at the sky and was stunned to see far off in the distance, a huge saucer shaped object speeding across the sky. I say huge, because of its size, in relationship to its distance away.
The edge of the "ship" looked silver, as if the sun was reflecting off it. The sighting was over in seconds ( two or three seconds, at the most ) If I hadn't looked at that spot, at that exact moment in time, I would not have seen it. I never mentioned the incident to anyone, until years later, as I thought I would be laughed at.
This is the only time I have ever seen a UFO. I am a retired RN, now 70 years old but I can still remember the event as if occurred yesterday.
I am reporting it now, as George Noorey had a guest on his show tonight, who advised anyone who had seen a UFO, to report the sighting, no matter how long ago it occurred.
