ufo hovers right overhead while I walk alone at night
In the summer of 1967, I lived north of Columbus, OH, on East Powell Rd, half a mile east of I71. Houses were on long, narrow 10 acre lots - about two tenths of a mile up a hill on the edge of the woods. I was 15 years old and no fear.
After the family went to bed I walked a mile up the road to my friend's. Leaving about 1AM , walking alone and 50 ft from the bottom of my driveway, I looked up to my left and out of the north sky came a large lighted object! It stopped in mid air silently hovering, just past the edge of the woods. I was so scared, I hid behind a large oak tree peeking out not knowing what to do. I was looking at a flying saucer and somehow knew " they" knew I was there. Finally I ran up the driveway and stopped in front of the house watching " it". It was maybe 200 ft across and glowed a pale wite light in the center and rectangular shaped lights of different pale colors, red, blue, maybe green. I wish I could be hypnotized to really remember the details.
All I could think of is " who are they?' I was overcome with a feeling they wouldn't hurt me.
After I don't know how long it finally began slowly moving south, parallel to I71 with a slight up and down motion. On top of our hill, I could see it for a few miles and it stopped, made three loud whirling noises and went straight down. I went in the house and looked at the clock. It was 3am.
Later that summer, I saw headlines in the Columbus Dispatch where an airforce pilot reported seeing a UFO. I had my proof. Now I watch the skys and wonder.
I also wonder what the small bump behind my ear is after seeing a ufo movie.
