In response for information about the event at Crestview Elementary I can confirm the event did happen.
I lived on the same street about a block from the school. I really find it hard to believe there is not more information about this sighting since the witnesses were many.
The Miami Herald did report this event in two editions. One contained details about the event with witness accounts including a teacher and student. My brother is looking for the clippings.
The other story was about spiritualists, ((two names deleted)). I remember the traffic on our quiet street and answering questions about the event to the many curious visitors.
The event occur in a field a few blocks north of the school. I remember the Air Force saying the craft were nothing but helicopters but this was greatly desputed by the teachers and students.
