Fast moving, silent cylinder
I am entering this report on behalf of my oldest brother who is the one who witnessed this event.
The date/time is approximate.
When my brother was 10 years old he was looking out of the window of our house and saw a cylinder flying past at a 1/4 mile distance, 500' altitude, moving right to left with the top angled forwared at 45 degrees.
He said its size was 100' long and 5-6' diameter and it traversed his field of view in 4-5 seconds and 500-600 MPH. It was dark brown and totally silent.
