Daytime approach and stopped within short distance and was extremely visible.
Object approached from the south east appearing flat and coming directly at us.
As it came close it turned and stopped. It was triangular with pinkish lights around the exterior that could have been windows. It made no sound.
My Dad went inside and called the USAF in Portland and they gave no indication of acknowledgement.
He came back outside and it slowly moved to the west and then shot off to the south west in a burst of extreme speed. It was close and extremely visible.
I have lived with this sighting all my life and only recently from some of the TV shows have decided to tell this story. No photos just amazement.
