I was young about 8 yo. The fire jumped out the fire pit. As we were putting the fire out, this saucer flew over silently and I pointed to it and brought it to dad's attention. Then I ran to get the telescope then remembered it got broken earlier that day. The saucer was about 80 to one hundred yards away and probably 100 to 120 ft in diameter. The riser on top had a rainbow of lights behind foggy rectangular panels.
My dad denied he saw anything nearly all his life. Finally in 1991, the year he passed, I was thirty one yo. Sitting down for dinner with my mother, brother, dad, I'm not sure how the subject came up, but I said, "Dad, this is the last time I'll ask this, but do you remember what we saw?" He said, "OK, I'll admit I did see something, what it was, I don't know."
End of story I know there are inhabitants on earth that we do not know about....
