I noticed NE of my house an orange ball of light headed SW.
The orange ball of light was just as bright from the front, side and rear as it flew past me. Iām not a good judge of distance but it seemed to be 10K to 20k feet in the air. It looked like a fireball but travelled like a jet aircraft. I cupped my ears to make out any sound but it was silent. It never changed course or speed. It flew a little faster than an average passenger jet airplane. I watched it until it left my distance of sight. It crossed West Loop 250 and headed towards Hwy 191 and possibly over I-20.
