Saturday Oct 25th About 7:20pm i was driving south on Ridge Rd as i passed Wheeler Rd I first noticed three lights in a triangle formation to just to left of the Ridge Rd. Four times brighter than any background star, this formation was drifting about 20 mph in a southwesterly direction. (formally trained in aerial identification aboard the USS Constellation) My best guess place the initial formation about 3000ft in the sky. To the right of the road at the same height were additional 10 or more lights about a mile wide in a sporadic line formation. unfortunately was i traveling 55 miles a hour on a one lane road with another car closely behind me. i was able to take a photo with my camera phone as these light drifted further in a southwesterly direction.
Please note Midway airport is roughly 35 miles east of my location. This formation was not arranged for a landing pattern, nor traveling in the direction to the Airport but away.
