Driving home probably 6-8 pm et. Saw a very bright white light (looked exactly like a bright star) fall straight downward. No tail, extremely fast. Didn't see a landing because I had to look at the road, but turned down my radio, pulled over, and opened a window to see if I could hear anything crash. I've never seen anything move so quickly, no direction or curve but straight down .
