I just saw something that I can only describe as a UFO. I've lived in Las Vegas for 3 years. I live not far from the airport and am accustomed to watching aircraft of all sorts flying over, landing, etc. I've never seen nor experienced anything like what I just saw.
I went out to smoke a cigarette and from my third story balcony I saw three orange lights in the sky to the direct north. The lights were in a weirdly perfect triangular pattern but moving away from each other. The top and brightest light was moving northeast, the bottom right was moving due east, and the left bottom light appeared stationary. The bottom left light disappeared just as I was taking my first picture. The other two lights kept moving for several seconds until the bottom right disappeared. After about thirty seconds longer, the top light also disappeared leaving no indication they'd ever been there. This happened around 6:40 PT. Weather conditions were clear sky, nothing unusual weather wise.
Address of sighting was Boulder highway and east Tropicana, Las Vegas 89122.
Photos I could snap are attached but it all happened in less than 90 seconds so I couldn't get better ones.
