On Saturday, May 16, 2020, I observed a single white light heading vertically upward approximately south of my home in Los Angeles. The light diminished in size and brightness and faded out as it got higher and more light clouds came between us. I waited for it to show up somewhere in that vicinity, but saw nothing. I do not think it was the light of an airplane. I saw no lights near it that might have been aircraft lights.
I am a retired aerospace engineer and was a captain in the SAC of the USAF.
