Two satellite objects traveling at typical satellite speeds then taking an acute right angle at shooting star speed
Scanning the night sky I caught a moving object above the NE horizon that appeared to be a satellite moving at typical speed. Once I focused on the object I saw a second similar object trailing relatively close behind moving at identical speed. I followed their trail for a few moments then suddenly the lead "satellite" took an acute right angle maneuver with a speed of that of a shooting star and disappeared. The trailing "satellite" a second or two later performed the same maneuver.
