High Altitude UFO sighted over New York City during daylight
Weather: Sky clear. Sun setting. Their was an object in the sky glittering brightly. Azumuth 130 degrees. When the glittering stopped for a few moments I could see a white light flashing connected to a thin cable. I went inside to get my high powered binoculars to get a better look. I clearly saw an object horizontal that looked like a cable connect to a flashing white light on each end. The light flashed in sync. Total of two flashing lights. Whatever that cable or wire was it glittered with the sun. Over a period of one hour it transitioned from horizontal to vertical. A high altitude jet passed by, appeared to be below its altitude. I reported it as a high altitude weather balloon over JFK Airport to the Port Authority so a NOTAM could be issued to all pilots flying in the vicinity of JFK Airport.
