Unknown orange orb aircraft between Phoenix and Tempe Az In proximity of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
The neighborhood where I live in Tempe, Az, is in the take of and landing path of air traffic for Phoenix Sky Harbor Int’l Airport. While taking a late evening walk along my street, I happened to notice a bright light in the sky to my right or west of me. This would be the general location which air craft departing Sky Harbor would acesend.
At first glance I assumed it was a commercial aircraft. I did a double take noticing that the lights or illuminations from the craft did not strobe or blink as the take off and landing lights, nor were the lights of different colors(red white, green) but a solid vibrant orange red color. The object first appears elongated as the fussolage of a commercial aircraft, but I notice the the craft is not ascending, but moving steadily towards the east and a smooth steady but greater rate of the than a commercial or private aircraft. I noticed there was no sounds of engine, after-burners or propulsion of any kind. Moving very smoo! thly and without any sound. the object maintained an eastern tragectory and into my one o’clock position from my vantage point. The object appeared to turn counterclockwise as if to face south and took an “orb” shape vs elongated cigar shape. As the craft moved to my twelve o’clock, it immediately stopped in place. It hovered in place motionless. Within 5-10 seconds of the orb hovering, white flashes light that circled the orb craft starting from the left side and traveling in swift strobe movements crossing the “front or south facing part of the craft and continues to the right side of the craft. This occurred in rapid succession 3-4 times giving it a high speed camera flash effect. After the final flash, the orb which still remains orange/red glow began and swif, vertical assertion without sounds of engine, jets or propellers. It moved vertically several thousand feet when the orange glow of the orb dimmed to almost invisible or as if it had disappeared behind clouds or contrails and then was no longer visible. Then, seconds later, less vibrant dull orange streak type lights of 3 in tandem formation painted the sky as the muted lights moved in an eastward disention with a great rate of speed- Silently towards the Salt River Reservation and the neighboring metropolitan city of Mesa, AZ.
