This happened yesterday and today, about the same place and time. I was heading west on Hwy 6 towards Redfield nearing Dead Man's curve it's around 5:00pm. The sun is just below the horizon, the sky is clear, only 1 little wipsy cloud. The moon is out and over my left shoulder.
I looked into the sky to the west of the moon and I saw a bright star that was white and seemed to turn reddish, too. I thought it was a planet since there were no other stars. Then suddenly it faded away, I saw something dark just as the light went away, and then just blue sky.
There were planes in the sky and I could see their bodies because of how the sun was shining in them still. I could see exhaust trails from the planes, but this light had no trails, no illumination from the sun. It was way to high in the sky to be a helicopter.
I couldn't believe I saw it two days in a row; I tried to pull over and record it, but just as I did, it faded away. I'm going to look for it again tomorrow!
