Oval orange orb during storm
I saw an oval orange object in front of some storm clouds. I thought it was an airplane's lights reflecting on the clouds, but it wasn't blinking and had a defined edge. It was a steady orange color, as if lit from inside.
It then became covered by the clouds. I could still see its light behind the clouds for a few more seconds. From the exact spot in my yard where I saw it, there are no streetlights or anything else in the line of sight. I wondered if it could have been ball lightning, but it was stationary.
