Looking out over the ocean from our house deck, we observed what we first thought was the planet Mars as it was kind of close to where it should have been but it was awfully bright. It was an orange-red color. But then the light went out. It was too far above the horizon to be a ship of any kind. A couple seconds later it came back on and another one appeared slightly lower and to the right of it.
We got binoculars and they were in the shape of a triangle and appeared the outline was dots. It was not moving and stayed stationary. All of a sudden, one light faded out and then the other.
Didn’t see them anymore as we sit out there for the next couple hours. We saw and heard other aircraft and helicopters but there was no sound when these were seen. They were super bright compared to everything else in the sky. So bright, it reflected on the horizon so was easy to tell how much higher it was and wasn’t a boat. Very strange.
