Orange illuminated sphere close to treeline, moving purposefully across the sky
Camping at Lake Anna State Park. A large orb of orange light caught my attention as it entered my field of vision. Its speed, size, and color were all unlike any other sky object I've seen.
The more I watched it travel across the sky, the more uneasy I felt about it. It moved across the sky horizontally, not far above the treeline, with very visible up and down jerks--almost like course overcorrections. There were no flashing lights and it remained the same steady rusty orange color the whole time. It was moving quickly and maintained a constant speed. It moved upwards a little (seemingly intentionally, not the small jerks like earlier) toward the end of its path, and then disappeared behind the treeline.
Spent about 5 minutes watching it cross the sky.
