Strange light follows two bikers on road trip
On October 17, 2017, my friend and I were on a motorcycle trip from Mobile, AL, to Daytona, FL. We had stopped off at St. George Island, which is just south of Apalachicola FL, to check out a pub that’s on the island. We decided to leave the island around dusk, maybe 7p. As we were heading back North on the bridge that connects St George Island to the mainland, I noticed a red light that kind of peaked up about level, with the bridge to where I could see it. It was hard to tell exactly how big it was or its shape, but it seemed to me that it was about the size of a small car.
It was off the west side of the bridge about 30 yards away and over water. We were miles from the mainland about the middle of the bridge. I was quite puzzled as to what this light may be. Just about then it seemed to lock in on our speed and started following us. We must have been doing about 65 mph. I was the lead bike with my friend in the rear. This light followed us for several minutes and then it went away. It was hard for me to see where it went as I was mostly concentrating on the road ahead of me. After crossing the bridge I immediately pulled over and so did my friend. We just kind of looked at each other for a minute puzzled. Finally, as I began to ask him what in the hell was that, he says to me, “I don’t know!”.
