Silent black triangle aircraft without lights seen traveling through the sky at night.
My wife and I observed a single black triangular aircraft, with no lights and absolutely no sound traveling in a straight line from the NE to the SW.
We were outside talking and relaxing in the back yard, admiring the stars and the full moon. There was not a cloud in the sky.
At first, when I saw the aircraft, I assumed it was a very large turkey vulture gliding in the sky. Then I realized it was night time, and how quickly the aircraft was traveling in a straight line.
We were able to watch the triangular aircraft travel through about half the sky. I noticed the aircraft from the tree clearing behind us to the North/Northeast to over the roof of the house about 30 feet away towards the Southwest. We can't say if the object was 200 feet above us or 10,000 feet. We waited and expected to hear exhaust within a several seconds of it passing but we were surprised that we heard nothing. I can estimate that the aircraft's angular diameter at about about 3 degrees.
I am an amateur astrophotographer in my spare time, and I have never seen such an object like this before. I always have an explanation for what is in the sky, but this was very different. My wife takes very little interest in astronomy but she seemed pretty shocked at what she saw.
