I, too, saw flashes of intense white light flash outside my house, and woke up and walked through through my living room and about an eight to ten inch strand of horizontal bright light flashed outside my window.
It was so bright, I jumped back and covered my eyes, it startled me so badly, I looked outside to see if there was a vehicle outside, there was nothing.
It was pitch black out, so I turned to walk back into the other room and it happened again! I jumped back and swore because it scared me so badly.
The amazing thing is that the strands of light were so intense, bright, and so horizontally thick and distinct. Never have I seen anything like this before.
I felt compelled for weeks to see if anyone else saw this phenomenon. Finally wanted to report what I saw, through some venue, and thus the reason for my post.
