Comment on Web Report 127/S127760.html I live close to this reporting site in Quaker Hill, CT, am not associated in any way with the reporter nor did I witness the sighting. I have no knowledge of, or opinions about, the authenticity of this report.
What was not mentioned in the report was that Quaker Hill, CT, is directly across the Thames River, less than ½ mile from, the US Naval Submarine Base in Groton, CT, and just a few miles from the General Dynamics, Electric Boat Co. where most such submarines are built.
I would hope that the US Navy and/or the National Security Agency is aware of this supposed event, but considering the denial most folks are in, I question whether the right people have been contacted. If I had witnessed the event, I believe I would probably have reported it directly to the Base Commander myself.
I leave the report to you to evaluate and take whatever action you think is appropriate.
