I was sitting on my front porch enjoying a great spring night, looking at one of the first clear skies we had had in a long time, when a very bright star caught my attention. It seemed to be moving back and forth across the valley.
I got a set of binoculars and went back out. It was an orange sphere that kept going back and forth, almost like it was scanning the land below it. You could see it pause briefly, then start the other direction again.
