Approximately in the NW direction from the front of my house at approximately 30 degrees elevation, I saw a single large (much larger than passenger jet lights) bright white disc appear, and then disappear as though being occulted.
I looked in the same vicinity the following night to see if there were a large star in that area again, and there was not.
For reference, a star about the magnitude of Venus was directly overhead at that time. Please tell me the name of that star. Thank you.
