UFO over Brooklyn, Dyker Heights-Bensonhurst 8/22/15, approx 9:20PM EST, reddish light, no strobe or flash and in 30-45 seconds traveled deep into space. Reddish bell shaped light appeared between Helicopter and plane height at 40.6176° N, 74.0117° W. My estimate is 10,000-20,000 feet.
Moved very slow from NE to SW at 40.6176° N, 74.0117° W.
Within 20-30 seconds began accent/climb and within 10-20 seconds jetted deep into space like nothing I have ever seen. The ascent was something out of star wars/star trek. I was blown away to see how fast the object/light moved into deep space.
At one point it appeared to climb as high as the stars. No noise. Totally silent. Light was not small.
