My daughter and her boyfriend were driving south on Route 57 in Liverpool, NY, around 9:30-10:00pm on 8/13/15. They were just about in front of the NY State Thruway Exit #38, when they saw a very bright object in the sky that caught their attention immediately. They told me they saw a "large triangle shaped craft outlined with bright white lights" fly over them from their right hand side, it crossed over them "diagonally" and disappeared over the treeline to their left hand side. They said it was very low, lower than a plane would be flying that's approaching Syracuse's Hancock International Airport.
It made no sound and it freaked them both out. They said that it looked like there were 4 lights on each side of the triangle. They didn't have time to take any photos as it was only a few seconds that they had a visual on it before it disappeared over the treeline.
