I went to turn on the outside back light I opened the door make sure the light was burning. My attention was drawn to a glowing red cone shaped object in the sky approximately 1/4 mile away.
The object was moving North to South and was finally lost to sight as it passed large trees that were between me and it. I went outside during the event to see if I could here any engine sound, but heard nothing.
