Small object moving in a straight line west to east just below cloud level
I was walking back from my mailbox and I noticed a small white object coming in my direction. It was fairly high in the sky. At first I thought it might be a piece of paper blowing along with the wind. As it got closer to me I could tell that it was high in the sky. I kept looking at it and it traveled in a straight line, never veering from what seemed like an intended course. The object was white and I could not make out a true shape other than an oval or circle. It flew just below the clouds. I watched it fly past in a line from west to east. I heard no sound and saw no other lights or flashes. I started to think it might be a bird, but never saw a wing flap, and, as I stated, it flew in a perfectly straight line. It was definitely too small to be an aircraft.
I went into my house and got my binoculars, but by the time I got back outside it had disappeared from sight. I know I was not seeing things, but I do not know what I actually saw.
