UFO spotted by four on New Years Day at Makalawena Beach on the Big Island of Hawaii
We saw bright lights in the distance and thought that it was a airplane headed toward the airport nearby, but the lights stayed stationary and did not approach the airport. We were driving on the highway and were getting closer to it.
As we got closer we could see that it was a stout cylindrical disk shape with lights. Light was directed down at the ocean close to Makalawena Beach.
We directly passed it a mile marker 90 on the highway.
No lights were blinking. Lights were a soft white/yellow color. We drove back on the same road three hours later. By then the sun had risen.
At mile marker 90 there was nothing that could have been what we saw.
