Strange lights over Newark airport.
At 7pm on 10/18/2014, I witnessed a bright red blinking light over shining a dull blue green light. The dull blue green light looked like you were looking in a window . It had a depth to it. The light blinked and slowly moved right to left back and forth in the area of Newark airport . From my vantage point in Bayonne N.J. looking west north west towards newark airport I watched it for approximately 27 minutes.
With a 2 story building 4 feet to my left . A tree about the same height 42 feet in front of me to the right and at 18 to 20 feet right of the building. The lights were a foot lower then the tree top. At one point another light just like it caught my eye coming from north to south. And it too moved back and forth in the same way, but in a wider pattern to the right of the first one . The lights looked too close to normal air traffic .
At one point a jet passed in front of it on take off blocking it from my view . I Would have thought they were helic! opters, they do often patrol port newark, but these were different. Didn't move or look quite the same. Red light too bright and I never seen a blue green non blinking light. Very odd looking.
