At that time (4-5 sec later) a second one appear in close proximity to the 2nd. Both continued to fall. At that time, I was in fear that if they hit the ground at that size and speed, it would be catastrophic.
But then, they can to a complete stop at what appeared to be 1500-2000 ft while maintaining a short distance from one another. They hover there for approx. 30 sec.
At this time they flew together and became one. After the had leveled out the lost their fireball appearance. Once joined you could almost distinguish a pattern within the light.
After 15 secs, they disappeared.
