String of white twinkling Christmas lights.
At 10:03 p.m. myself, a former law enforcement agent, and my boyfriend, a high school teacher, observed a string of lights in the sky from the Assembly Point peninsula. The lights looked like a string of white Christmas lights that were twinkling brightly and then dimmed while gaining more distance upward. They seemed close at first, and we thought they were remnants of fireworks we heard earlier, but they continued traveling and dimming with distance.
I tried to get my telescope to focus in on them, but couldn't in time.
The sighting lasted between 7-10 minutes.
