Black, ess-shaped, slow-moving twirling object sighted over Kannapolis, NC on Memorial Day and observed by 6 persons.
The six of us were out in the yard throwing the football around after dinner on Memorial Day, 2014. We were looking at some birds over the house when in the distance was spotted a black object, S-shaped, slowly rotating higher than the birds.
It was a decent size based on the birds in the sky and much further up and away.
It moved slowly from from SW to NE (Concord to Salisbury direction).
There was no noise associated with the object.
We first noticed it with our eyes but folowed it using binoculars until it disappeared behind some distant clouds.
The sky was perfectly clear at the time of sighting with only some clouds at the NE which it was hidden from view at the end.
