Several sets of orange fireballs. Appeared to be moving in pairs, coming from the Gulf. No sound. Moving very fast.

Thanks for your response. I never knew until I looked on your web site how many sightings there are every day.
I guess as an experiment I'll order a Chinese lantern and send it off from the beach to see if it looks the same as these did. My husband think that's impossible because of the speed at which they were moving.
Also, they seemed to fly in formation. He thinks they are helicopters from the military base nearby, but even with binoculars I couldn't see a helicopter-and there was no sound. Seems like if a light on a helicopter was close enough to see with the naked eye, you could hear it and see it with binoculars.
