I may have an idea about what a lot of people around here heard. Lockheed Martin has a facility in Owego NY. People from here (Lockwood) to Binghamton heard this thing.
Maybe the local Lockheed Martin is testing the night vision on an F35B VTOL plane. That would explain the long duration of the LOUD AS HELL jet sound. It almost sounded like an approaching storm from hell.
