I saw a bright orange oval shape that moved slightly and disappeared with no flash nor sound.
I was standing in backyard near downtown Albuquerque, N.M., Sunday evening (2/23/14):
I glanced up at Orion and saw this bright light which in less than a minute vanished. It was very orange in color and was round. It traveled slightly, in a crescent moon shape and disappeared. No flashing; no sound. Appeared high in sky with belt of Orion in background. It was definitely far away and as bright as any surrounding star/planet.
Thought it odd and added it to my life list of odd sightings and 'let it go' but have decided to file a report after seeing pretty much exactly what I saw, mentioned in this sighting's report:
