Red and white lights appearing to be connected. Large string of lights.
Looking north towards Birmingham, was parking my car and saw a string of several red lights and a white light heading west. I don't remember an exact number, but I believe there were 4-5 red lights, then a white one, then 1 or 2 more red ones.
There appeared to be one red one below the main line as well. The lights appeared to be connected as they remained at an equal distance from each other for the duration of the sighting. The object was fairly large and was too long to be an airplane.
The full moon is out tonight and the whole string of lights would have been approximatly 4-5 full moons wide.
The object was not going particularly fast. I saw it along with my boyfriend. We watched until it disappeared behind the treeline. No sound was observed, but it appeared to be pretty far away and was roughly in the flight pattern of BHM.
