2013-12-24 - Dartmouth (UK/England) - Flash

a clear flash following by comet or shooting star.

I was working the night shift on christmas eve into the early morning of chrismas day, i went out side to get some fresh air at around 02.30ish i saw a flash of light which was a clear flash not like a thunder and lighting flash where you get that tindge of blue, also i heard no thunder at all either, after the flash i saw at split second either a shooting star or comet fall where i had seen the flash too. I thought nothing of it untill tonight when i came to work in the car (06.01.14) as i an my girlfriend were driving down the narrow country lane for work at 20:25pm we noticed a very dimmed light on the cloud we hadn't noticed it was there untill it turned of, we thought it could of been an on coming driver with its full beams on but no car came past, nor one was behind us, so maybe there something above the clouds? i don't know i find it bizzare.
