White sphere over SE Michigan seen from Brownstown
Location: Brownstown , Michigan
Date: Sunday , November , 20 , 2013
Time: 5:00 PM (Est)
Direction: WSW
Number of object(s): 1
Elevation/Altitude: Less than 1000 Ft.
Object size: No stars or moon were visible in the sky at the time of sighting.
Closest reference I can give is,the object appeared about the size of a dime in the sky.
Direction of movement : Object was stationary.
Description of object: Object was sphere/orb shaped and a luminous, iridescent , white color...almost like that of an Opal. It had 2 lines going across it, making the sphere appear to be divided into 3 sections. Object was silent, no noticeable sound coming from it.
Other info: At the time of this sighting, the temp was around the mid 20's and there was no real wind to speak of. The sun was already setting below the western horizon, but it was not dark yet and the sky was still blue. The location i was at when i saw the object is approx. 5 miles ESE of Detroit Metro Airport and i did notice about 3 or 4 airplanes in the sky, but they were flying at such high altitudes that you could not even see the planes themselves and only knew they were up there by the contrails they were emitting.
When i first saw the object in the sky i looked at it for 15 to 20 seconds then turned away and decided to grab my video camera out of the camera bag next to me. This video camera powers up as soon as you flip the screen open, so in the 5 to 8 seconds it took me to grab it, open the lens cover and flip the screen open...i turned back toward the object and it was GONE!
