Strange Humming Noise Outside House.
This report is being submitted for a relative. My adult relative was concerned and distressed about a strange noise she heard on the night of Thursday, November 21, 201,3 at 11:35 p.m.
She was in bed sleeping soundly when she unexpectedly awoke to a loud sound that was right outside her window. It perplexed her and she seemed a little disturbed by the event. She said the noise was like that of machine, or a metallic noise, that was very loud, close to her window. She said the noise took on a certain high and low pitch and it started humming for a duration of 5 minutes.
I asked if she got up or too look outside and said she did not. I gathered from her statement that she might have been too scared to do so, so no craft or lights were witnessed if there were any. We live in a small quiet neighborhood where six houses share a beautiful courtyard that is about 100 feet long by 30 feet wide. The front of our house and bedroom windows face the courtyard.
My relative said the humming noise pulsated loud and said it sounded like it might have been hovering in the courtyard near our bedroom windows because she felt the pulsating vibrations through her window. We live south of Paine Field and are used to (and recognize) all the airport and flight noise and activities, but she said it was nothing of the sort and this humming sound was unusual and too close. She asked if I heard it and told her that I had not.
I went to bed at 10:30 p.m. that night and woke up around midnight, but did not hear anything. My relative said that after 5 minutes of the noise, the sound abruptly stopped and everything was silent.
I did confess to her that as of the last few years, especially during the summer months, when I have my window open, that I have awoken to strange computer-like "beeping noises" in the early pre-dawn hours that I could never understand what or where they come from. Perhaps, these incidents are related, but not sure.
My relative is confident that something was causing or giving off this sound and that it may have been from an unidentified craft hovering in the courtyard.
Since then, we both have been monitoring all nighttime activity for any strange incidents. We would like to remain anonymous.
