Bright Light Over Tooele County, UT.
I was in the car with my mom and two sisters heading home after a concert. We were driving west on I-80 away from Salt Lake City where the concert was to our home in Stansbury Park which is about 30 miles away.
We first noticed a strange craft with a very bright light on it travelling faster than is possible for any known commercial or private plane about 15 miles from home. It would be hovering close to mountain to our left and then it would zoom off out over the Great Salt Lake and back (a distant of close to 10 miles) in what seemed to be only two seconds.
It then suddenly split into two objects that were both flying in the same erratic way. After a few minutes of this we saw it merge back into one object. After this it almost seemed to be following us. This sparked our interest so instead of driving straight home we decided to continue driving for longer so we could investigate a bit more.
As we were continuing to drive it turned towards Stansbury Lake. We followed in that direction and once the lake was in sight it flashed very bright (almost like the flash on a camera) and then dropped down into the lake with a small flash and that was the last we saw of it.
