extremely bright white light!!
Seen in Erie, PA 11:20pm 11-5-13.
Viewer was in suburb of Erie. Object was south of him. He said it was way up in the sky. He had to tilt his head back to take the pic. The angle was similar to if the object were 10 ft. above the building next to his house. It was a cloudy night. The object appeared to be high, but below the clouds.
-Called 911. They had received no reports. They said to call the airport.
-Airport didn't answer that night. When called the next morning, they said that there were no reports of anything unusual on the radar.
The light field was two football fields and was very bright. Viewer visually boxed it in making a frame with his thumb and forefinger about a foot from his face. Said it measured approx. 3” within that box.
-Picture was shot with Canon gl2. Second, brighter, picture was enhanced.
-Object appeared to be completely motionless, like a picture held up in the sky.
-Duration of event was approx. 8 minutes. He just stared at it at first. Then he went inside and got his camera, and it was still there, unmoved, when he returned. Went back inside to get a video cassette, and when he returned, it was gone.
-Thoroughly checked the area in daylight to be certain that it hadn't been something that is always there, but was temporarily lit.
