The craft did not look or act like a plane and was silent as it first hovered then moved through sky just above the trees.

I was driving home on Rosendale road just before 10 pm. I was driving towards the Lisha Kill nature preserve which was to my right. I looked up to the sky to my right over the tree line and saw lights in the sky.

At first I thought it was an airplane because we have Albany International airport not too far away. As I got closer I thought I can't be an airplane because it was stationary and low to the ground the object was maybe 50 feet above the tree line.

My next thought was it must be a helicopter but as I got closer to the object I knew it was not a helicopter by its shape and the fact it was making no noise.

I stopped my car in the middle of the road and through a gap in the trees I could make out the object. It had sky-blue lights on the ends of its wings and four lights underneath alternating red and white. The lights gave off an illumination that was different from a light on a regular airplane, they were almost glowing but not like spotlights.

The object was small like the size of a car. Its wings were shaped like bananas or like a three-dimensional triangle which were divided symmetrically by a similar shape on top of the center of the craft. Underneath the craft were two protruding geometrical shapes that looked like rudders on an airplane but these pointed towards the ground.

After I stopped my car, the object hovered for a few seconds then very smoothly like a balloon floating through the air began to fly away from me deeper into the nature preserve. The shape of the craft, the fact that it was in a location not easly accessible by people, its relation to the tree line, the way it glided through the sky, and the fact it made no sounds lead me to believe it was a ufo.

I tried to follow the object by roads surrounding the preserve but to no avail. I have to say I'm a believer of ufo sightings I just never thought I would be privy to one. I immediately went home and tried to draw the object I saw to the ! best of my abilities.

I am a male in my early thirties and am always aware of my surroundings. I know a thing or two about planes and this was not a plane. There is Knolls Atomic Power laboratory near by and who knows what they're doing in those facilities. The object I saw was unique and like nothing I have seen before.

I had a camera phone but by the time I got over the awe the object was pulling away and I didn't have a good angle.
