Large star like light hangs in the sky for over five hours & dissappears.
While heading to my car for work I noticed an overly large, bright star like light in the sky. I watched it for about ten seconds to see if it moved. It did not. I wrote it off as an airplane heading towards our airport, coming at a straight angle relative to my viewing angle.
I headed to work thinking nothing of it. I had seen planes do this many times before. However, it was still in the exact location when I returned from work five hours later. Once again, I watched for movement. Approximately after five seconds of viewing the light went out.
I then watched the spot for a solid 3 minutes, looking for the light to return or at least what should be blinking attention lights [in case it made a turn]. There was nothing. It was a clear night, so something should have shown if it was one of our aircraft.
