Bright light visible in Western sky for long periods of time that seem to be fixed in the sky, but visible while driving in car. .
My wife and I saw 3 bright lights in the sky traveling from Mass. Turnpike around 6:30 p.m on Sunday evening October 20, 2013 heading towards Hartford, CT. One disappeared after about 10 minutes. Then we saw 2 very close together all the way to Interstate 84 until we got to Vernon, CT area, and the last one we saw until we exited I-84 in Farmington, Ct. The lights appeared not to be moving, just hovering, but we never lost sight of one of them for about a 2 hour period. It appeared to be no more than 3,000 to 4,000 feet in the sky. Very bright center light with faint greenish light blue glow on either side. Appeared to be in the Western sky.
Three days later my wife saw the same light heading west on Rte 202 from Canton, Ct to Torrington, Ct, and then again we both saw the same light traveling from Norwich, Ct on Rte 2 until we got to Farmington exit of rte I-84 in Farmington on Sunday October 27, 2013.
Object does not appear to be moving at all but is visible for very long periods of time as we are traveling by car at speeds up to 70 mph.
Have never seen anything like it before.
