At approximately 5:10 pm, I spotted a very bright light which I can only describe as a very bright star.
I immediately pointed it out to my son. It was hovering in front of a cloud above the Rideau canal directly in back of parliament hill.
We both watched the bright light slowly fade to nothing. It was difficult to tell if it was fading out or disappearing into the distance. We both knew we had just witnessed something very out of the ordinary.
SON: My name is ((name deleted)). At approximately 5:10 PM, in Ottawa Ontario, my father and I spotted a UFO above the parliament buildings.
What I saw is an object that looked like a large star, but in a couple seconds faded away slowly. Which eventually disappeared completely. The objects was very shiny, and reflective. It looked metallic. I know for sure it was not a satellite, because the UFO was in front of a dull cloud.
