Small orange fireball type object fell to the pavement on Alkai Beach area
A group of orange fireballs were seen coming across Elliot Bay from Madrona south to Alkai Point. One landed on the pavement in front of a group of people waiting to cross the street. The object resembled a miniature hot air balloon with about a two foot diameter canvas type cloth parachute and below it was suspendered a triangular platform on which was in an incindiary device that had burned out.
A woman in the group identified herself as working for the police department and took the object.
