Bright light seen stopping, turning, and behaving very unlike an aircraft.
Small bright star-like light seen high in sky traveling west before coming to complete stop. It then turned very rapidly and headed east for a couple seconds. It stopped and turned several times, acceleration and deceleration were extremely fast. The events lasted over a minute before the dot turned westward again and proceeded quickly beyond the tree line.
Observer was not a UFO enthusiast or even a believer.
