Several Brilliant Flashes of light in different colors followed by a flickering orange/red glow across the sky.
I had gone out to my porch to have a smoke. I had been sitting on the porch for about a minute when I heard a strange noise and saw what I thought was motion. I stood up to see what caused all of this and witnessed several brilliant flashes of light northwest of my home. The flashes were oval in shape and very bright. They appeared to come from behind the tree line at approx. a 30 degree angle from my location. The noise I heard was akin to a vibration or hum. The color of the initial flash was a blue/white light and other colors followed. Those flashes were over in an instant, but afterwards the sky pulsated with a strange orange/red glow in the same area for approx. 5-10 mins. My wife was with me to see the red glow pulsing in the sky.
